Settling in, we learn we can only control so much. All our best plans can be delayed by something external like weather. I know S&T will weather this storm as we continue to learn new things every day.
As we slither into March, several St. Pat's events will be happening on and around campus. Watch out for snakes, shillelaghs and lots of green as the students participate in the 117th Annual St. Pat’s, which culminates with the parade on March 15. If this is your first spring with us, join the festivities, more information can be found on the Best Ever St. Pat's website.
Something else exciting is that we have some amazing firsts happening this semester. Be on the lookout for emails, social media posts and even employees walking around campus with T-shirts on for information on S&T's upcoming Giving Days campaign in April.
After that, May will bring us to commencement and Staff Appreciation Week. We have already started planning for the opening ceremony featuring Chancellor Mo Dehghani. If you would like to participate in the opening ceremony as an actor, please email staffcouncil@mst.edu for more information.
Please know it is my honor to serve as your Staff Council president, and I love getting to work with such an exceptional group of colleagues!
