In 90s spirit, Jackie wrote her letter using popular slang from that decade. Can you guess where these sayings (indicated in bold type) came from?

Congratulations on successfully getting through January and starting a new semester without living in a van down by the river! February is commonly associated with Valentine's Day – you may not know that Feb. 11 was National Make a Friend Day, and Feb. 17 is Use Kindness Day. Our campus is blessed with an incredible community that shows support for our students and one another. I firmly believe, like, that this spirit of belonging forms the heart of our, like, environment here at Missouri S&T. I feel like we are not worthy.
Oh my lanta, the admissions office organized its annual Valentine-themed letter writing campaign, Miner Heart Week, to establish a connection with admitted undergraduate students that will start in the fall. During the first week of February, the Havener Center buzzed with activity as current students, faculty and staff came together to craft Valentine cards for each of our admitted students. Oh snap.
Missouri S&T totally holds the top position as a blood donation sponsor with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, contributing a total of 762 blood donations in 2023. Whoa!
What’s the 411?
Staff Council is excited to announce that Staff Appreciation Day will be held Thursday, May 30, in the Havener Center. This year, we're embracing the spirit of the 1990s with the theme "Back to the 90s." Save the date and get ready to be gettin' jiggy with us. It's going to be an epic celebration. Isn't that special?
