Dear Missouri S&T staff,

"The end is near!"

Without context, that sentence may sound a little unsettling. But I am talking about the end of the spring 2025 semester. In this case, the end is a cause for celebration for several reasons.

S&T staff members have worked hard this spring in support of the university's fantastic students and faculty, and we will hopefully be able to catch our breath some after the semester wraps up.

Also, the end of the semester means we will be able to cheer for our spring 2025 graduates as they walk across the commencement stage and begin the next chapter in their lives. Regardless of what role you play as a staff member at S&T, your contributions helped lead to our graduates' success, and you should be proud of that — and proud of the graduates.

Not long after the semester ends, it will be time for Spring Staff Appreciation Week, which will take place May 18–22. We have lots of great events planned, so I hope to see you there.

Please know it is my honor to serve as your Staff Council president, and I love getting to work with such an exceptional group of colleagues!

Sincerely,

Kevin Walkup, MBA
Staff Council President
